Top 5 Illustration Inspiration Websites

Do you know the moments when you're so motivated to create some artworks but you can't decide what kind of?

I know them very well! Because of that I know some great websites to get some inspirations for example color combinations or just different styles of art:

1. illustratorslounge.com

Here the authors show artworks of famous artists and newbies but all of them have a very high quality. If you like an artist you can see more by checking out his linked website or blog.

This is a large gallery with every kind of art in it: 3D, vector or paintings. You can get many impressions by just scrolling through.

This website is much like the one on place 2. A great gallery full of great artworks. I think place 2 and 3 could share one place! Besides: There are categories like photography or typography, too, if you are less interested in paintings or vector graphics.

Pinterest is not really a free website. You have to register for free before having access to the whole gallerys. BUT if you are registered this is a great platform because people who create gallerys like "character design" (which is linked above) are just looking for artworks they like. This means the quality of the gallerys is very high! Usually no stick figures or something.

Twitter has some nice people looking for great stuff. For example: all my pixel artwork inspiration I take is from @PixelArtSprites (which is linked above). A lot of useless stuff like tweets without images are there, too, it is sadly no gallery itself but you have new inspirations like every few seconds!

Aside from these websites you should follow special artists you like on twitter or deviantart. They mostly follow similar artists or just other great artists which you maybe didn't notice before.

If you know other great websites to share, feel free to post them in the comments! :-)
