DeleteThere is only one special brush for the treetop. I used a grunge brush but I can't tell you which one because it's a long time ago. Sorry.
But the standard splash brushes in photoshop should work, too.
For the other parts of the tree I used the standard brush but I "flattened" it like a tools scraper. With this you can draw some nice hard edges.
